Connect London has been established to bring the Connect model to London.  It has been developed from a model which combines Business Incubation, Business Angel Networks and Volunteer Mentoring.  It is a member of Global Connect and was granted a licence by Connect-on-the-Net/Scotland which holds the master licence for the UK.

The founders of Connect London have extensive experience in running Incubators and regard Connect London as an Incubator Without Walls (IWW) as it does everything that a Best Practice Incubator should do, with the exception of offering physical space.  It will therefore work closely with physical incubators and business centres in London.  The delivery of support is through the Connect London Business Club (CLBC) and the Springboard programme which was originally developed in San Diego.  Connect London will support all businesses with high growth potential.  The key resources are Sponsors and a new type of Business Angel Network – Connect London Champions (CLC).

Most Business Angel Networks concentrate on acting as a broker to facilitate equity investments.  CLC offer this service but Champions also offer Mentoring, Knowledge Angel Investments and Interim Management.  Champions will also deliver public funded business support initiatives and offer consultancy to organisations who want assistance with Business Incubation and Business Angel Networks.

Connect London is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and will be reliant on sponsors, public sector delivery contracts, success fees, consultancy and volunteer mentoring.
