The Connect San Diego model has become a Best Practice example to facilitate the establishment and growth of technology companies.  The University of California San Diego (UCSD) set up Global Connect and invited organisations with similar missions to become members of an informal interactive network.  One of the founders was Connect Scotland who hold the licence for the UK and in turn have issued a licence to Connect London to deliver the Connect model in the London Boroughs who are under the control of the LDA.  There are now 35 members of Global Connect spread around the Globe.  Connect London are planning to develop working relations with other Connects in order to share best practice and allow entrepreneurs to benefit from the Global Network.
